Minutemen Hold Pathetic Protest Outside City Hall
On Thursday afternoon, March 30, 2006, members of the Minutemen Project held a small, pathetic "protest" outside city hall in downtown Los Angeles. Nearly a week after the historic Gran Marcha of 2006, in which over 500,000 Nican Tlaca marched through the streets of LA, and days after thousands of Nican Tlaca students congregated outside City Hall, a small group of no more than 20 gathered to "protest" (I almost hate to use that word, for it gives them too much credit) the recent events. Knowing that the students had been prevented from leaving class on Wednesday, they figured now would be a safe time to turn out, seeing how any large-scale, organized opposition would be unlikely. There was basically no media interest, so the gathering did not last long. some of the minutemen approached a newsman on Spring St., but he wasn't interested. Below are some pictures of the sad event, so you can see for yourself how demoralized and wacko the hatemongers are.
in this photo you can see how small the so-called protest was. it was so small in fact, that many passing motorists didn't even seem to notice them.
here is a closer view of all the participants. as you can
see, estimating the turnout at 20 is even a stretch.
in this photo you can see the profile of "vendido of the year" nominee, raymond herrera. he actually had the nerve to say that he was here "to protest the events of last weekend." well, where were you on saturday, or monday or tuesday. it sure takes a lot of courage to protest on an empty street, doesn't it.

here is a closer view of herrera. take a good look, here is racial self-hatred personified. dont let this happen to your children. quote: mayor villargiosa is "educated by mecha, indoctrinated by mecha...and he exhibits favoritism against one race, that's the mexican race."
here is a picture of tony dolt, a self-described "hispanic" immigrant from cuba, who happens to be running for some sort of political office (31st assembly district)--how convienent! when i asked him if he was "hispanic," why did his sign say "latinos"? he thought about it for a minute, and finally said "i think they are the same thing." if these labels are confusing to real latins and hispanics, imagine the damage their use is doing to the nican tlaca.
here is another picture of tony. he said because he spoke spanish, that made him hispanic. i asked him if he knew who malcolm x was. he said yes. i asked him, since malcolm x spoke english did that make him an englishman? tony said "yeah...thats reasonable." OK....
this monster in the brown shirt had the best quote of all: "i went to school at sunvalley junior high...and now its very bad, its 100% mexican." she also verbally attacked the recent student protestors, saying they were "ignorant" and that they were "being used". i asked her if she thought the israeli children were "ignorant" last year when they threw rocks and acid on soldiers who were trying to evict them from their settlements. she said no, because all of that "was just a show." hmmmmm....
this crazy old man claimed that he was "roughed up" following mayor villarigosa's speech on saturday. he vowed to file a lawsuit against the city and the mayor.
the "protestors" came to city hall hoping to have a meeting with villarigosa. instead they got to talk to this man. they gave him a petition and a bunch of letters written by "others" who couldn't make it. he promised to give them to the mayor. he probably filed them in the men's room under "emergency ass wipes".
saddest quote: "as an american indian, we gave up our country once. i love what it became. but now we feel like we are being abandoned again." i spoke with this woman from oklahoma for awhile, and even after she said this horrible thing, i still cannot bring myself to dislike her. i don't blame her. she is the perfect example of how destructive colonialism and cultural genocide can be.
the rest didn't really have anything interesting to say. i'm including their photos for comic relief.
